The Ole Captain
Dr. Dietmar Müller, 1951 vintage, got lost on his way to early retirement in Bali and first got stranded in America (1 year), in France (1 year), at Regensburg U (Linguistics, Economics), on Koh Samui Island (Thailand) and in Canada (3 years). First trip to Bali in 1983, now happily married with Anis (Balinese) since 2002 with an official Indonesian “Old Fart Visa”.
Career
Market crier, trade show salesman, toy manufacturer, high school teacher (English, French), assistant professor for commercial translators and interpreters, ladies’ fashion production coordinator in Hong Kong (16 years), coordinator for manufacturers and importers of power boats and yachts made in USA and Dubai (6 years), private travel organizer (9 years).
“Adopted Balinese” since 2002 and trying not to hit an iceberg with happy international holidaymakers on board our OnlYou cruiser.
Wishful thinking
Enjoying a long early retirement, publishing a (Nobel Prize awarded!) travel short stories book,making many Bali travellers happy.
